Emergency care is a craft. I've spent my career sharpening it.
I'm Imelda — a Physician Assistant based in Tampa, Florida. For over a decade I've worked in busy emergency departments, caring for patients on some of the worst days of their lives and mentoring the clinicians who show up next to me.
Along the way I noticed a gap: talented new PAs and NPs graduate without the hands-on reps they need to feel confident with procedures like suturing. So I started teaching — small groups, real instruments, direct feedback. That work has become as meaningful to me as the shifts themselves.
